The Questions Captains Hear Most

Every captain has heard them a hundred times, usually in the first five minutes on the boat. Here are the favorites.

"Is it loud?"

Yes. The big propeller behind you is what makes an airboat go, and it's loud at speed. When the captain stops to look at wildlife, it gets quiet fast.

"Will we see a gator?"

Most rides do, but they're wild animals, so nobody can promise. The captain knows the spots where they like to rest and sun.

"Are we going to get wet?"

Maybe a little spray. Nothing a towel won't fix.

"Can we stop for photos?"

On a private ride, stop as often as you like. That's half the fun.

"How shallow can this thing go?"

Shallower than you'd believe. Airboats skim over the top of the water, which is why they can go where other boats can't.

Got a practical question before you book, like Sundays, cancellations or pickup? The Airboating Everglades FAQ covers them.
